OUR PHILOSOPHY

Through the rehearsal and performance of a variety of choral literature, The Coppell Children's Chorale will instruct young singers on vocal, musical, and artistic skills necessary to express themselves through song, as well as connect with and be mentored by other young, as well as adult, singers with similar interests.

Singers will receive instruction on musical elements including melody, rhythm, harmony, timbre, dynamics, form, style, history, and performance practice. They will learn best practices on using their personal instrument - their bodies and voices - in an expressive, safe, and artistic way. In order to sing the varied repertoire, they will be given instruction in classical vocal techniques. In each rehearsal, correct singing posture, vowel shape, breath support, and tone placement will be taught and developed.

Rehearsals

The Coppell Children's Chorus rehearses on Monday nights during the school year, from 5 to 6pm at the Coppell Arts Center in Old Town Coppell (505 Travis Street).
